Question: What should the thickness of the Miswāk be?

Answer:
Thank you for your above question, it is mustahab (liked) that the thickness of the miswāk is the same as one’s little finger and the length of a hand span.[1]

[1] )وَمِنْهَا السِّوَاكُ) وَيَنْبَغِي أَنْ يَكُونَ السِّوَاكُ مِنْ أَشْجَارٍ مُرَّةٍ؛ لِأَنَّهُ يُطَيِّبُ نَكْهَةَ الْفَمِ وَيَشُدُّ الْأَسْنَانَ وَيُقَوِّي الْمَعِدَةَ وَلْيَكُنْ رَطْبًا فِي غِلَظِ الْخِنْصَرِ وَطُولِ الشِّبْرِ
