About Us
JKN Fatawa Department is a non-profit organization founded by Shaykh Mufti Saiful Islām with the purpose of addressing mundane Islamic jurisprudential queries according to the Hanafi School of Law. It regularly publishes Islamic queries as well as research articles serving as a resource for both layperson and scholars. The Fatawa department initially operated by corresponding to questioners personally via email and letters since 2008. Since then, two books were published containing answers to queries accumulated over the years, namely Your Questions answered published in April 2010 and Ask A Mufti 3 Volumes published in December 2014. Alhamdulillah, both books attained success receiving a wider readership among the Muslim community. As a result of this, the department has become busier receiving queries nationally and internationally. Answers to modern-day related queries are published weekly onto the website. The department is an independent platform and does not seek to publish materials of any other organizations. All queries are thoroughly researched and answered by Mufti Abdul Waheed and the team of Takhassus fil Fiqh students under the supervision and endorsement of Shaykh Mufti Saiful Islām Sāhib.
